Bee-Farming Museum, Beekeeping museum in Kyiv, Ukraine
The National Museum of Beekeeping holds an extensive collection of tools, historical artifacts, and educational displays about bee species and honey production methods.
Founded in 1980, the museum preserves the legacy of Petro Prokopovych, who constructed the first frame hive in 1814, changing beekeeping practices worldwide.
The museum presents information about traditional honey-related celebrations and the role of patron saints Zosima and Savvatiy in Ukrainian beekeeping traditions.
Visitors can observe live bee colonies through specialized inspection hives, learn about modern beekeeping technologies, and purchase different types of honey.
The facility maintains three educational dioramas with audio presentations covering the evolution of beekeeping from ancient methods to current practices.
