Yavoriv Proving Ground is a military training facility in Yavoriv Raion near the Polish border designed for infantry, artillery, and armored operations. The area covers a wide zone with different training sections and separate zones for different types of military units.
The training area was founded in 1940 and required the relocation of several villages during its expansion under Soviet administration. Different armies used the ground during World War II for their operations.
