Town hall of Chernivtsi, Municipal office in Central Square, Chernivtsi, Ukraine
The Town Hall presents a late classicism architectural design with Renaissance elements and a pastel blue facade in the center of Chernivtsi.
Constructed in 1847 during the Austrian Empire period, this building transformed the former marketplace into an organized European-style city center.
A trumpeter in traditional Bukovina attire performs the melody Marichka daily at noon from the observation deck of the clock tower.
The two-tier clock tower includes an observation point reached by stairs, offering views across the Old Town and Prut River valley.
The structure stands among art nouveau buildings, including the adjacent Chernivtsi Olympus with its mosaic panels depicting Austro-Hungarian provinces.
