Slobidka is a residential district in eastern Odesa featuring narrow streets and traditional buildings spread across its eastern edge. The area develops its character through a network of modest structures that line the winding lanes typical of older neighborhoods.

Underground limestone catacombs run beneath the district and stretch through its streets as part of Odesa's subterranean network. These hidden caves formed over centuries as limestone was quarried for construction throughout the city.
