The House with Poppies features asymmetrical facade elements, including two distinct bay windows and natural motifs integrated into the architectural design.
General De-Witte commissioned this residential building between 1908 and 1910, after height restrictions near Pechersk Fortress were lifted in the area.
The building incorporates floral decorations, with poppy flowers and hop leaves adorning the windows and facades in the Art Nouveau tradition.
Located near Khreshchatyk Street, the building stands among other notable structures from the early 20th century in central Kyiv's banking district.
The left bay window extends above the entrance while the right one terminates with an oval-shaped decorative element framing a distinctive window.
