Church of Virgin Mary, Baroque church and art museum in Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine
The Church of Virgin Mary features limestone walls, a central dome, and a reconstructed bell tower in the main square of Ivano-Frankivsk.
Built in the 1660s by Andrzej Potocki, the church served as both a collegiate parish and a burial vault for the Polish aristocratic family.
The building now houses the Regional Art Museum with 12,000 pieces including Galician icons, Baroque sculptures, and works from Ukrainian painters.
The museum maintains regular exhibitions of religious art, regional paintings, and ancient books while offering classical music concerts throughout the year.
Following a fire in 1882, artist Erazm-Rudolf Fabianski restored the interior frescoes, which remain preserved within the museum structure today.
