Church of the Transfiguration

The Church of the Transfiguration stands within the grounds of Nikitsky Botanical Garden, featuring arched windows decorated with stone casings and a central dome.
The construction of the church began on March 25, 1884, under the direction of engineer P.K. Terebenev, and reached completion with its consecration in February 1887.
The church resumed religious services in 1992 after spending decades as a warehouse and cultural center during the Soviet period.
Regular Orthodox services take place in the church, which maintains its position as an active religious institution within the Simferopol-Crimea Eparchy.
The church building combines its religious function with its location in a scientific institution, as it sits within the grounds of a botanical research center.
