Eski Dürbe

Eski Dürbe is a stone mausoleum with minimalist design, featuring a central dome and an interior courtyard space. The structure combines the burial chamber with an open area that served as a ritual and memorial space for visitors.

The mausoleum was built possibly in the 14th or 17th century and stands as one of the oldest surviving structures in Bakhchysarai. Its origins predate the Khan's Palace and document the early architectural development of the city.

The mausoleum reflects the traditions of Crimean Tatar nobility, combining Islamic architectural features with local yellowish stone typical of the region. Visitors can observe how religious practices shaped the design and construction methods of this sacred structure.

The mausoleum sits roughly 180 meters (590 feet) southeast of the Khan's Palace along the Çürük Suv river bank and is easily reached on foot. Visitors can explore both historical sites in a single visit by taking advantage of their close proximity.

The mausoleum features an unusual asymmetrical layout where the courtyard can only be accessed by passing through the interior of the burial chamber. This hidden arrangement creates a concealed sanctuary that visitors discover only upon entering the structure.
