Bakhchisaray State Historical-Cultural Museum-Reserve is a protected area containing multiple buildings, including the 16th-century Khan's Palace with Ottoman architectural features and mosques. The complex holds around 50,000 objects spanning crafts, art, and everyday items from the Crimean Khanate period.
The palace complex was built in the 16th century as the residence of the Khans and became the center of political power in the region. In 1990, the site received protected status as a museum reserve to safeguard its historical importance.
The museum displays crafts and household objects that reveal how Crimean Tatar people lived across generations. Walking through the exhibitions, you see clothing, tools, and everyday items that explain the traditions and way of life of this community.
