Lutsk Botanical Garden

Lutsk Botanical Garden is a protected nature reserve in Volyn Oblast that spreads across forested hills with more than 900 plant species from different regions. The site preserves both native and introduced plants within its 20 hectares of landscape.

The garden was established in 1977 as a dedicated nature reserve for preserving regional plant species and conducting scientific research. It has since become an important center for documenting and understanding the area's plant diversity.

The garden functions as an educational center where visitors learn about local flora, including rare plants listed in the Red Book of Ukraine.

The grounds feature walking paths and observation points that make it easy to explore different plant collections and areas. Plan your visit for dry weather when the paths are easiest to navigate.

The site is home to black storks, protected under Ukrainian law, which nest and live in their natural habitat here. These rare birds indicate the ecological health of this nature reserve.
