Реабілітаційний центр «Парк хижаків Арден», Animal rehabilitation center in Sataniv, Ukraine.
The Predator Park Arden rehabilitation center is an animal shelter in Sataniv, in the Khmelnytskyi Oblast of Ukraine, set within the mixed forest of Podilski Tovtry National Park. An elevated wooden walkway runs through the forest canopy and allows visitors to look down at the enclosures below.
The center opened in 2020 with the aim of giving refuge to circus bears that needed rescue and care. Over the following years it expanded to take in other injured or orphaned forest animals from the region.
Visitors can watch wolves, foxes, deer, and birds of prey living in forest enclosures that closely resemble their natural habitat. Guided tours explain how each animal arrived at the center and what care it receives during recovery.
Sturdy footwear is a good idea since the forest paths can be uneven and muddy after rain. Allow enough time to walk the full length of the elevated walkway and stop at each enclosure along the way.
Two Himalayan bears live here, a species not native to this part of Europe, rescued from captivity and brought to the center after 2020. Visitors can spot them from the elevated walkway, sharing space with wolves and birds of prey that are far more typical of this forest.
