The 7 July 2005 London bombings were a series of suicide bomb attacks in central London.

On 7 July 2005, four Islamist extremists detonated three bombs on London Underground trains and one on a double-decker bus.

These attacks affected London's multicultural society and raised issues of security and foreign policy.

As a result of the bombings, public transport security measures in London were increased.

The bombings led to the UK's largest criminal inquiry since World War II.
