Nash County

Nash County is an administrative region in North Carolina that spans roughly 540 square miles and connects several communities. The area includes Nashville and portions of Rocky Mount alongside rural and urban zones in between.

The county was established in 1777 and formed from adjoining Edgecombe County territories west of the Tar River Falls. It was named to honor Brigadier General Francis Nash, an officer from the independence era.
