Northville, Suburban community in Wayne and Oakland Counties, Michigan

Northville sits at an elevation of 253 meters above sea level, with terrain varying between 229 meters and 292 meters across the landscape.

The settlement began in 1825 when European Americans established homes in the area, later becoming incorporated as a village in 1867 and a city in 1955.

The Victorian Festival in September and Summer Friday Night Concerts since 1986 maintain strong community traditions throughout the seasons.

Mill Race Historical Village contains numerous preserved buildings that demonstrate the architectural styles and construction methods from early settlement periods.

Henry Ford's presence shaped the city's industrial development when he purchased a factory in 1919 to manufacture valves for Ford vehicles until 1981.
