Dominator, Steel roller coaster at Kings Dominion in Doswell, Virginia.
Dominator is a steel roller coaster at Kings Dominion in Doswell, Virginia. The track runs 4,210 feet and includes a 157-foot lift hill followed by a 135-foot vertical loop.
The coaster first opened as Batman Knight Flight at Six Flags Ohio in 2000. After Geauga Lake closed, it moved to Kings Dominion in 2008 and received its current name.
The removal of Batman theming in 2004 marked a shift from licensed entertainment properties to independent branding at Cedar Fair entertainment parks.
The trains have no floor, so riders sit with their legs hanging freely throughout the ride. The journey lasts about two minutes and includes several inversions.
The orange and blue track is one of the longest floorless roller coasters in the world. The design allows riders to see the track directly below them during the entire ride.
