Bay Head

Bay Head is a coastal borough situated on the Barnegat Peninsula between the Atlantic Ocean and Barnegat Bay. The town features sandy beaches and Victorian-era houses that define its residential character and waterfront setting.

The settlement was founded in 1879 when the Bayhead Land Company began developing the land and building roads. The borough was officially incorporated in 1886 as an independent municipality.

The local community maintains strong ties through the Bay Head Improvement Association, which supports preservation initiatives for natural and built resources.

The area is well connected to the region, with train service available to nearby cities. Visitors can easily explore the flat terrain and nearby beaches, with various amenities accessible for day trips or longer stays.
