De Pere, Educational city in Brown County, Wisconsin

De Pere is a city in Brown County, Wisconsin that stretches along the Fox River. The community features two separate downtown districts connected by bridges, surrounded by residential areas and commercial spaces.

The settlement began in 1671 when French Jesuit Claude-Jean Allouez founded the St. Francis Xavier Mission at the first rapids of the Fox River. This early religious community became the foundation for the city's growth.

Saint Norbert College, established in 1898, contributes to the educational landscape with its Donald J Schneider School of Business and Economics programs.

The city is easily navigable since it stretches along a major waterway and consists of two distinct areas connected by bridges. Visitors can move between both sections by crossing these bridges to explore the different neighborhoods.

Saint Norbert College, founded in 1898, is located in the city and shapes local education through its business and economics school. The college functions as a major employer and draws students from across the region.
