Boston Conservatory at Berklee, performing arts conservatory located in the Fenway-Kenmore region of Boston, Massachusetts, United States
Boston Conservatory at Berklee is a private educational institution in Boston offering training in music, dance, and theater. The campus features historic brick buildings housing classrooms, practice rooms, and performance spaces, many of which are shared with Berklee College of Music to create a collaborative arts environment.
Founded in 1867, the school was one of the first in the US with full accreditation in dance, music, and theater. In 2016 it merged with Berklee College of Music while maintaining its independent programs focused on classical performing arts.
The Boston Conservatory at Berklee sits within Boston's Fenway arts district, surrounded by orchestras and dance companies that shape the neighborhood's cultural identity. Daily rehearsals and student performances fill the area, making the school's work visible and integrated into the city's artistic rhythm.
Visitors can join student-led campus tours lasting about an hour and a half, typically available on weekdays between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Advance reservation is recommended as spots are limited, and tours do not run on weekends or during school breaks when the campus is less active.
The school hosts over 700 student performances annually across dance, music, and theater. Visiting during the academic calendar offers a rare chance to witness the volume of creative work happening daily on campus.
