Wolverine Wildcat, Wooden roller coaster at Michigan's Adventure, Muskegon, United States.
Wolverine Wildcat is a wooden roller coaster at Michigan's Adventure amusement park in Muskegon, Michigan. The ride features a classic wooden structure with sharp turns and several drops along its course.
The coaster opened in 1988 as the first joint project between manufacturer Dinn Corporation and designer Curtis D. Summers. That collaboration went on to shape several other wooden coasters they built together in the years that followed.
The name refers both to Michigan's state animal and to the University of Michigan's sports mascot, the wolverine. This double connection gives the ride a local identity that visitors from the region tend to recognize right away.
There is a height requirement for this ride, so it is worth checking before joining the line. Weekdays and off-peak periods tend to bring shorter wait times at the park.
In 2022, a section of Titan Track, a steel rail system mounted on a wooden frame, was added to part of the existing structure. This hybrid approach smooths out the ride without changing how the coaster looks from the outside.
