Harvard Art Museums, Art museum in Harvard Square, Cambridge, US
The Harvard Art Museums contain three distinct institutions: the Fogg Museum, Busch-Reisinger Museum, and Arthur M. Sackler Museum under one glass roof.
Founded in 1896 as the Fogg Museum, the institution grew through acquisitions and mergers to become a major center for research and education.
The collections span multiple continents and epochs, featuring works from ancient Mediterranean civilizations to European paintings and contemporary Asian art.
Visitors can explore five floors of exhibitions Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM with free admission for everyone.
The museums maintain specialized conservation laboratories where experts research and preserve artworks using scientific methods and traditional techniques.
