300 East Pratt Street, mixed-Use in Maryland, United States
300 East Pratt Street is a hotel and office building in Baltimore that rises 50 floors to approximately 195 meters (640 feet) in height. The structure provides space for roughly 270 hotel rooms along with about 300,000 square feet (27,871 square meters) of office space, combining accommodations and workplaces in one downtown location.
The project was conceived in the early 2000s and first proposed in 2003, but did not initially receive approval from Maryland authorities. After plan revisions, the project received approval in 2006, allowing construction to proceed.
The building is located in a central downtown Baltimore position and is easily accessible from multiple directions. Its significant height makes it simple to spot and use as an orientation point when navigating the city.
The building was constructed on the site of the former Hearst Production Building, replacing a historic structure with this new complex. The construction was originally designed to be even taller but was later redesigned to its current proportions.
