Akron YMCA Building, Art Deco clubhouse in downtown Akron, United States.

The Akron YMCA Building features ornamental motifs, geometric shapes, and decorative elements that characterize the Art Deco architectural movement of the 1930s.

Constructed in 1931 by Clemmer-Noah Construction Company with architectural design by Good & Wagner, this structure became the largest YMCA in the United States.

The building provided 220 dormitory rooms, medical services, dining facilities, and Ohio's largest swimming pool, meeting essential needs during the Great Depression.

Located at 1 Canal Square Plaza, the structure now contains fifty-five apartments, commercial spaces, and YMCA facilities occupying the first five floors.

The basement level includes a secured parking garage, while some residential units feature two-story townhouses and a secured penthouse configuration.
