Belmont Mound State Park

Belmont Mound State Park encompasses a high-elevation area with trails that wind through 274 acres of natural Wisconsin landscapes.

The park, established in 1961, contains geological formations shaped by glacial activity during the last ice age thousands of years ago.

Native American communities left numerous artifacts throughout the park area, indicating sustained human presence before European settlement.

Visitors can access hiking trails, picnic areas, and educational programs from sunrise to sunset throughout all four seasons of the year.

The elevation of the mound reaches 380 feet above the surrounding terrain, creating an observation point for views across three states.
