Blind Island Marine State Park, Marine camping park in San Juan County, United States.
Blind Island Marine State Park is a small island in San Juan County featuring rocky beaches and mountain views along its saltwater shore. The three-acre site sits near the entrance to Blind Bay and offers visitors a remote waterfront setting.
A German immigrant named John Fox settled on the island during the late 1800s, building a house and creating water storage systems. His presence shaped the island's early occupation and left physical marks that remain today.
The park forms part of the Cascadia Marine Trail network, which promotes non-motorized watercraft exploration of Washington State waters.
The island has four basic campsites available only for visitors arriving by kayak, canoe, or sailboat, with no drinking water sources on site. Plan accordingly since motorized watercraft are not permitted at the park.
Remains of John Fox's garden and concrete water tanks from the late 1800s are still visible on the island, revealing how early settlers lived. These structures show the practical solutions people used to survive in this remote location.
