Bowdoin College Museum of Art, Art museum in Brunswick, US

The Bowdoin College Museum of Art maintains a permanent collection of 30,000 objects, including Ancient, Contemporary, Modern, American, Asian, and European artworks.

The Walker Art Building, designed by Charles Follen McKim and completed in 1894, houses the museum collection that began with James Bowdoin III's donations.

The museum exhibits represent multiple periods and regions, featuring works from Africa, Oceania, and the Americas alongside European and Asian collections.

The museum database provides online access to more than half of its collection entries with accompanying images for detailed research purposes.

Two Medici lion sculptures mark the entrance to the Walker Art Building, which underwent a substantial renovation of 20.8 million dollars in 2007.
