Opening its doors on December 9, 1949, the Caribe Hilton marked a milestone as one of the first international hotels established in Puerto Rico.
The modernist architecture by Toro-Ferrer Architects incorporates local building traditions through the use of concrete forms and open-air spaces throughout the property.
The property contains three swimming pools, a secluded beach area, multiple dining venues, and extensive conference facilities for both leisure and business travelers.
Ramon Monchito Marrero created the Piña Colada cocktail at this hotel in 1954, mixing rum, coconut cream, and pineapple juice for the first time.
