Sullenberger Aviation Museum, Aviation museum at Charlotte Douglas International Airport, US
The museum contains over 50 static aircraft displays, including military jets from the 1950s and collections from multiple legacy airlines through American history.
Founded in 1992 by Floyd and Lois Wilson, the institution operated in the airport's original 1932 hangar before relocating to a modern facility in 2010.
The museum changed its name from Carolinas Aviation Museum to honor Captain Sullenberger, who successfully landed US Airways Flight 1549 in the Hudson River.
Located at 4108 Minuteman Way in Charlotte, North Carolina, the museum welcomes 70,000 annual visitors and maintains partnerships with the Smithsonian Institution.
The facility houses the actual Airbus A320 aircraft from the Hudson River landing, preserving this significant piece of commercial aviation history.
