The Chrysler Museum presents over 30,000 artworks spanning 5,000 years of global art history across multiple galleries and exhibition spaces.
The museum collection expanded substantially in 1971 when Walter Chrysler Jr transferred his extensive art collection from Provincetown to Norfolk.
The glass collection includes 10,000 pieces from ancient to contemporary periods, making it one of the largest glass art collections in North America.
The museum offers free admission to visitors Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 to 17:00 and Sunday from noon to 17:00.
The Perry Glass Studio provides daily glassmaking demonstrations and offers classes where visitors learn traditional glassblowing techniques.
