Coffeyville Community College, community college in Coffeyville, Kansas, United States
Coffeyville Community College is a two-year institution in the small Kansas town of Coffeyville that offers academic, technical, and certificate programs. The main campus sits in downtown and is complemented by two additional locations that joined after a merger in 2001.
The college was founded in the early 1920s to give local students the chance to attend college without leaving their town. It underwent name changes in the late 1960s and 1980s and received accreditation from the Higher Learning Commission in 1972.
The college carries red and white school colors with the Raven as its mascot, which shapes student identity. During sports events, students gather to cheer for their teams and experience the spirit of the school community.
The main campus sits centrally in downtown, making access easy, while the two other locations in Coffeyville and Columbus are conveniently placed for students in those areas. Full-time instructors teach over 90 percent of credit hours, and extensive online classes let students earn an Associate degree completely from off-campus.
The college has produced notable graduates, including athletes who went on to professional careers, as well as actors and military pilots. These success stories reveal the potential that the institution holds for its students.
