Coghlan Castle

Coghlan Castle features stone masonry construction with architectural elements of the Richardsonian Romanesque style, including arched windows and detailed stonework throughout the structure.

Maurice Coghlan and his family inhabited this residence from its completion in 1906 until 1948, marking four decades of continuous family occupancy in rural North Dakota.

The National Register of Historic Places recognized this structure on July 16, 2008, marking it as the third property featured as property of the week.
