Cora Hartshorn Arboretum and Bird Sanctuary, Botanical garden and bird sanctuary in Short Hills, New Jersey, United States.
The arboretum extends across 16.5 acres of hills and valleys, featuring marked trails that wind through diverse natural landscapes and woodlands.
Stewart Hartshorn donated the land to Cora Hartshorn in 1923, who designed the initial layout of the arboretum with three miles of walking paths.
The Stone House, constructed in 1933 with materials from Springfield quarry, functions as an educational center for environmental programs and wildlife observation.
Visitors can explore the trails without charge from sunrise to sunset, while the facility offers guided tours and educational programs throughout the year.
The sanctuary maintains 45 tree species, including 275-year-old tulip trees, 150 wildflower varieties, and provides habitat for 100 bird species.
