Development of this district started in the 1960s when Hallmark Cards began transforming the area south of their headquarters. The project turned unused land into a major mixed-use neighborhood.

The complex is easy to explore on foot, with covered connections between buildings offering shelter in bad weather. Free parking is available, and the layout makes it a good spot for a full day visit.
