Dunn State Park

Dunn State Park is a recreation area in Gardner, Massachusetts, featuring woodlands, a pond, and open grounds for outdoor activities. The site includes hiking trails, picnic facilities, boat access, and fishing platforms distributed throughout the property.

Furniture maker John Ainsworth Dunn gave the land to Gardner in 1915, and it eventually passed to state oversight. This donation created a protected public space that has served the community for generations.

The park regularly hosts cross-country races organized by local schools, bringing together students and sports enthusiasts throughout the year.

The park is open year-round with parking available at the entrance for visitors of all skill levels. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes if you plan to explore the trails or use the water facilities.

The Woodland Trail features exercise stations along the route and holds a Healthy Heart designation. These stations allow visitors to do short workouts while walking through the woods.
