In 1979, illustrator Edward Gorey acquired the maritime property at Strawberry Lane, which transformed into a public museum following his death in 2000.
The museum displays over 75 unpublished manuscripts, illustrations, and artistic materials that demonstrate Edward Gorey's contributions to literature and visual arts.
Visitors can explore the museum from April through December, with adult admission at 8 dollars and reduced rates for students, seniors, and children.
The building houses 25,000 books and numerous collections gathered by Edward Gorey, including his signature raccoon coat and tennis shoes combination.
