The park opened in 1956 as The Enchanted Forest of the Adirondacks on reclaimed swampland. Over decades it expanded into a major destination combining water and amusement attractions.
The park hosts daily circus shows and a petting area with animals you can interact with. Themed zones draw from classic children's stories and nursery rhymes that many families recognize.
The park sells Splash Cash cards that let you pay at any stand without carrying cash. Afternoon visitors arriving after 3 PM can access discounted entry rates that include access the following day.
A White Arch at the entrance was transported here from the 1964 New York World's Fair. This gateway structure carries a piece of that historic exposition into the park grounds.
