Covewood Lodge, Historic summer camp at Big Moose Lake, New York, US
The T-shaped main lodge structure features vertical and diagonal wooden planks alongside eighteen surrounding cottages spread across fifty acres of land.
Earl Covey designed and constructed the lodge between 1924 and 1925, creating a structure that exemplifies early twentieth-century camping resort architecture.
Since 1951, the Bowes family has maintained this establishment where multiple generations gather for outdoor recreation and social activities.
The complex provides accommodations for up to one hundred guests from May through October, with fully equipped kitchens in each cottage.
The main lodge incorporates a two-story verandah supported by massive tree trunks, displaying the integration of natural elements into construction.
