Architect Sverre Knudsen designed this religious structure in 1927, incorporating elements of Norwegian Baroque Revival and Neoclassicism into its construction.
The church contains a 34-voice organ built by Josef Hilmar Jørgensen in 1927, representing one of Norway's remaining complete Romantic organs.
Visitors can access the church through entrances at Schwensen Street 15 and Ullevål Street 41, with a capacity of 530 seats.
The building sits among dense apartment blocks, requiring a staircase from Ullevål Street to adjust to the natural rock formation of the site.
