Bucharest City Hall, Government building near Cișmigiu Garden, Bucharest, Romania.

Bucharest City Hall is a four-story building with a square footprint and prominent Romanian Revival facades featuring a central entrance marked by three tall columns. The structure faces Regina Elisabeta Boulevard in the heart of downtown, near major public squares.

The structure was built between 1906 and 1910 as the Ministry of Public Works under architect Petre Antonescu's designs. After wartime damage and German military occupation during World War I, the building received reconstruction that incorporated an additional floor based on the original architectural plans.

The building displays Romanian Revival characteristics with design elements that reflect early 1900s architectural language and civic pride. Visitors can observe how the structure anchors the character of central Bucharest's administrative district.

The building sits at 47 Regina Elisabeta Boulevard near Universității metro station and is easily reached from Universității Square. The facade is fully visible from street level, making it simple to locate and observe from nearby pedestrian areas.

The roofing was repaired after the war using materials that differed from original specifications, leaving the structure with a subtle mark of its wartime history. This hidden alteration shows how necessity and available resources shaped the country's rebuilding after 1918.
