Casa Capșa

Casa Capşa is a historic hotel and confectionery on Calea Victoriei with elegantly appointed rooms featuring marble, wooden furnishings, and chandeliers throughout. The building contains about 60 guest rooms, including traditional suites and an imperial apartment.

The establishment was founded in 1873 and gained international attention after receiving recognition at the Vienna World Exhibition. This early success led to it becoming an official supplier to prominent regional figures.

The place functioned as a gathering spot where Romanian writers, artists, and thinkers met regularly and shaped local intellectual life. This role made it a central point in the city's cultural conversation during much of the twentieth century.
