Muntele Vulcan, Nature reserve and mountain range in Apuseni Mountains, Romania
Muntele Vulcan is a nature reserve and limestone mountain in the Apuseni range with steep slopes reaching 1,263 meters in elevation. The terrain features significant relief variation and is accessible via marked hiking routes that connect different sections of the massif.
The area hosted settlements and mining activities during the Daco-Roman period, linked to Dacian fortresses in the Orastie Mountains. Archaeological evidence reveals a long history of human presence from ancient times.
