Tudor Vladimirescu Cula

The tower features ten massive brick columns on its upper floor, three rooms, and a long narrow corridor ending with a utility space point.

Built around 1800 by Tudor Vladimirescu after Turks burned Cerneți city, the tower served as a defensive structure during the late Ottoman period in Wallachia.

The structure incorporates elements of traditional Romanian defensive architecture with its vaulted cellar, narrow arrow slits, and wooden ceilings on the upper floor.

The monument requires extensive restoration due to water damage through its deteriorated roof system and ongoing legal disputes prevent immediate conservation efforts.

The tower contains a large vaulted basement with narrow arrow slits accessed through a heavy oak door on the main facade.
