Ušće Tower, Skyscraper in New Belgrade, Serbia
Ušće Tower is a skyscraper in New Belgrade's business district that rises 141 meters high with a distinctive antenna on top. The structure features 27 floors of glass and concrete housing office spaces and commercial operations.
The tower was built in 1964 as the headquarters of Yugoslavia's Communist League Central Committee. It was heavily damaged during NATO airstrikes in 1999 and subsequently reconstructed.
The tower served as a symbol of state authority during Yugoslavia's era, with its lighting patterns at night reflecting the political importance of the site. Local residents recognized it as a landmark tied to the nation's leadership and identity.
The building is conveniently located in central New Belgrade near other modern office buildings and is easily accessible by public transport. Access to interior spaces depends on business hours and tenant policies, so plan your visit accordingly.
After its destruction, the building was not simply repaired in 2003 but expanded with two additional floors and a large antenna. This reconstruction made it taller and more visible as the city was being rebuilt.
