Sava City, Commercial complex in New Belgrade, Serbia
Sava City is a commercial and residential complex in New Belgrade made up of three tilted towers joined at ground level. The site includes open courtyards, walkways with trees, and terraced levels that create various gathering spaces within the development.
The complex won a design competition in 2004 and was completed in 2010, marking a turning point in New Belgrade's urban development. Its construction represented a major shift in how the neighborhood transformed during the early 2000s.
The structure incorporates large atriums, park bridges, and cascading plateaus that reflect contemporary Serbian architectural design principles.
The site is easy to walk through with multiple ground-level entrances leading to shops and residential areas. Underground parking is available and stairs plus elevators help you move between the different levels throughout the complex.
The three towers lean at different angles, giving the whole project a sense of movement and visual energy that stands out from the straight buildings around it. This deliberate design choice makes the complex recognizable from many points across the city.
