The Passage is a shopping center located in Tsentralny District on Nevsky Prospect in Saint Petersburg, featuring multiple levels covered by glass roofs. The building contains around 47 stores and combines neoclassical architectural details with modern retail spaces.
The building was established in 1846 as one of the first modern shopping centers in Russia. Its creation marked a turning point in how urban commerce was organized in Saint Petersburg.
The Passage serves as a gathering place where local designers and established brands operate side by side in the glass-covered corridors. Visitors can walk through the covered galleries and see how the space brings together different types of shopping and social experiences.
You can enter directly from Gostiny Dvor metro station or use one of the many bus stops along Nevsky Prospect. The covered galleries make it easy to walk through in any weather without worrying about rain or cold.
Inside the building you'll find the Fitzgerald wine bar, which stays open until 3 a.m. for evening socializing. This unusual combination brings together daytime shopping and late-night entertainment in a single historic location.
