Dzhubga, Coastal settlement in Tuapsinsky District, Russia.
Dzhubga sits on the Black Sea in Krasnodar region and consists of residential blocks, beach sections and small shops along the main road. Buildings range from old Soviet structures to newer holiday houses, and a river runs through the settlement on its way to the sea.
Settlement began in the mid-19th century as a small coastal station and later grew into a holiday area under Soviet administration. After 1991 tourism expanded further, and new private accommodations appeared along the coast.
The name comes from an old regional language and refers to the river and coastal setting that shapes life here. Residents use the sea for fishing and leisure, and in summer guests arrive from northern regions for sunbathing.
The main road runs parallel to the beach and connects all key areas, so visitors can easily walk between them. In summer the beach is busy and accommodations fill quickly, so early booking helps ensure a smoother stay.
The bay was once a preferred landing spot for trading vessels that took fresh water from the river before sailing on. Today only old mooring points along the riverbank recall these maritime stopovers.
