Tsiolkovsky memorial house
Tsiolkovsky memorial house, Space pioneer memorial house in Kaluga, Russia.
The wooden house features two floors, with the upper level containing Tsiolkovsky's workshop and office where he developed space travel theories.
Established in 1936, the memorial house preserves the residence where Konstantin Tsiolkovsky lived for 29 years until his death in 1935.
The museum exhibits Tsiolkovsky's manuscripts, personal items, and scientific equipment that illustrate his fundamental contributions to rocket science and astronautics.
The museum welcomes visitors from Tuesday to Sunday, with extended hours on Wednesdays until 8:00 PM and shorter hours on weekends.
During the 1908 Oka River flood, the house suffered damage that destroyed many of Tsiolkovsky's original calculations and technical drawings.
