Kabardinka, Coastal village in Gelendzhik District, Russia.
Kabardinka is a coastal village in Gelendzhik District along the Black Sea shore, sitting about thirty meters above sea level. The settlement spreads along a gentle bay framed by forested hills that slope down toward the water.
The settlement was founded in 1836 during Russian expansion along the Black Sea coast. Over nearly two centuries it grew from a small garrison into a residential resort with several thousand permanent inhabitants.
The village combines Russian Orthodox traditions with local Circassian influences, reflected in the architecture and community celebrations throughout the year.
Buses connect the village regularly with Gelendzhik airport and the surrounding region, making it possible to visit without a car. Most lodging sits close to the beach and fills up most heavily from June through September.
The Old Park contains replicas of famous structures from different eras and cultures, including Egyptian and ancient Greek motifs. The collection was built as a private project and draws visitors who want to walk through the ages without leaving the village.
