Klenovy Bulvar, Metro and railway station in Nagatinsky Zaton District, Moscow, Russia.
Klenovy Bulvar is a metro station on the Bolshaya Koltsevaya line, located in the Nagatinsky Zaton district of southern Moscow. The station sits about 80 feet (around 24 meters) underground and serves as a stop along this large circular line.
Work on this station started in 2017 as part of a broader effort to extend the Moscow metro network southward. It opened on March 1, 2023, bringing metro access to a part of the city that had long relied on surface transport.
The station takes its name from a maple-lined avenue in the neighborhood, whose Russian name means maple boulevard. Walking along the avenue above gives a good sense of how the area looks and feels on a daily basis.
The station is easy to find from street level, with clear signage along the avenue above. Platforms can get busy during morning and evening rush hours, so traveling slightly outside those windows makes the journey more comfortable.
Even though the station only recently opened, its structure was already built to accommodate a future connection to the planned Biryulyovskaya line. The builders designed the tunnels and platforms with this second line in mind from the start, which is something most passengers passing through do not notice.
