Силинский лес

The Silinsky Forest is a protected woodland in Komsomolsk-on-Amur that spans approximately 50 hectares and holds more than 400 species of vascular plants. The woodland ecosystem also supports rich fauna, including numerous bird and mammal species alongside various other animals.

The woodland existed as part of the natural landscape when the city was established in 1932 and received formal protection status as a natural monument in 1983. This continuity marks it as a witness to the region's original environment.

The forest holds significance for local residents as a refuge where they can connect with nature near the city. It demonstrates how diverse plant and animal communities persist in an area shaped by industrial development.
