Kronprinsen is a 27-story high-rise with blue tiled exterior walls standing 82 meters tall, located in Slottsstaden. The building contains a shopping center with around 40 stores and services spread across multiple retail levels.
Completed in 1964 by architect Thorsten Roos, this structure was the tallest building in Malmö for four decades. The Turning Torso, finished in 2005, eventually surpassed it in height.
The name Kronprinsen refers to the site's former use as barracks for royal military forces. Today, locals recognize the structure as a defining landmark in their neighborhood.
